Looking Ahead – Employment Law in 2011

Happy New Year! I expect 2011 to bring some interesting legal developments, as the yet-to-be-published final regulations for the Amendments to the Americans with Disabilities Act will provide more guidance and information to assist employers in complying with the amendments. In particular, the regulations will be redefining terms such as “substantially limits,” and likely addressing many of the public comments received regarding the proposed regulations.  Also in 2011, I anticipate more social media questions and concerns than ever before, and to see an increase in the presence of social media in e-discovery and litigation.

Although for now, Day 1 of 2011, I think the best way to start off the new year is to watch the 25 Greatest Legal Movies, as ranked by the ABA Journal. Everything else can wait.
